We have a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of our students. We have developed a safeguarding policy that aims to meet these duties.
The policy covers abuse and neglect, prevention of bullying, harassment and discrimination, dealing with attendance issues and meeting the needs of sick students and security.

Information for students
Where indicated in the College's course guides or on the College's website, specific programmes and courses may involve regular access to children and/or vulnerable adults. Where this is the case, students will be required to apply for and obtain an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) disclosure. An enhanced CRB disclosure costs £44 (as of August 2012).
The College will send further instructions on obtaining an enhanced CRB disclosure as part of the admissions process. For further guidance please look at the information shown in the programme or course details or contact the College directly.
Safeguarding our students is of vital importance to us. You should let the College know straight away if you have any concerns about your welfare.
Information for staff
City of Bristol College is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. All new employees to the College are required to complete and obtain an enhanced CRB disclosure.
