A Matter of Course

A matter of course

As one of the largest further and higher education colleges in the UK, City of Bristol College is able to offer an extensive range of courses.

Whether part-time, full-time or online, from entry level through to degree and postgraduate study, the relevance of the courses are designed for all ages, whether a school leaver or an adult studying to improve their qualifications.

It also provides a valuable transitional environment between school and college by encouraging young people to develop personally and academically in an ‘adult' environment.

City of Bristol College provides:

  • Over 1,000 full-time and part-time day and evening courses including NVQs, apprenticeships, A and AS Levels, BTEC National Certificates and Diplomas, Foundation Degrees, degrees and post graduate courses
  • The widest choice of full-time courses in the South West region

School leavers

Students can select either a vocational or an academic route.

A range of apprenticeships enable students to earn a basic wage while receiving work and college-based training resulting in both practical skills and NVQ qualifications.

The A Level Centre located at the College Green Centre offers over 35 separate A Levels which can be studied in a variety of combinations.

Adult learners

Adult learners too can benefit from the range of full and part-time courses at the College. There are a number of options for adult learners including return to learning courses, courses that boost existing qualifications and the option to learn on a flexible basis.
