Learning partners
City of Bristol College is committed to establishing partnerships with key groups to ensure it is meeting the needs of the whole community, to share and promote best practice and to help develop new initiatives.
Key partners include: Skills Funding Agency, Race Equality Council, local councils, Regional Development Agency, schools, awarding bodies, RNIB, Sector Skills Councils, West at Work, JobCentrePlus and Connexions.
Brunel and Gordano Training joined forces with the college in 2007. BGT is a leading provider of apprenticeships and work-related services with over 30 years’ experience.

Schools
To encourage participation in learning from all ages and backgrounds, particularly among school leavers, the College works closely with over 20 schools in the area.
As well as leading the development and delivery of Diplomas with partners across the city, the College is also a key trust member of the Bridge Learning Campus – a unique partnership of primary, secondary schools, the College and UWE in the Hartcliffe area of the city.
The College is also a leading partner in the 14-19 Learning Partnerships and the Kingswood Partnership.
Employers
The Business Development Unit works to expand the College’s work with employers through the provision of local, regional and national contracts. We have high profile, national training contracts with a number of major employers, including Airbus, DAF Trucks, NHS, Porsche Cars, and HSBC.
The College recognises that developing the potential of staff is the key to business success. We offer over 1,800 courses and training programmes tailored to the requirements of businesses and employees. Plus our high quality training can be delivered in-company or in College.
The College's responsiveness to the needs of employers is outstanding.

Universities
The College is a university partner college of the University of Plymouth, University of the West of England, Bath Spa University and University of Bristol.
The College offers a wide range of Foundation Degrees which are linked to key occupational areas.
Community links
The College is committed to encouraging and supporting adults in lifelong learning. It works towards achieving this through its extensive community provision and local community partners across the city, including the Beacon Centre, Circomedia, Silai for Skills and The Park Centre.
Other schemes run at the College to offer individual support include vTalent Year (volunteering programme), Education Unlimited (an innovative project supporting young people not in work or training) and the Prince’s Trust.
