The College has a successful history of engaging learners from Bristol’s communities. We have an excellent reputation in our responsiveness to working with all areas of the community – whether indigenous, traditional or newly-settling communities.
Our widening participation programme means our focus is on:
This work has traditionally covered work with young, disengaged people; groups for adults seeking work, improving English and maths; and programmes for speakers of other languages. This work has been delivered both by College teams and through a wide range of community partners.
We also offer opportunities to engage in informal learning, where learners have the opportunity to develop their interests, skills and/or job prospects.
This provision is critically important in meeting the needs of Bristol people – both within the city and the region.
