    City of Bristol College’s roots can be traced back to the c16th
  • 1860s
    Muller Orphanage is pioneered by George Muller (now Ashley Down Centre)
  • 1986
    BBC starts using Ashley Down Centre as a filming location for Casualty
  • 1996
    City of Bristol College is established following the merger of Brunel College of Arts & Technology and South Bristol College
  • 2000
    City of Bristol College merges with the College of Care and Early Education
  • 2001
    College Green Centre opens to students
  • 2002
    City of Bristol College merges with Soundwell College
  • 2008
    City of Bristol College merges with Brunel and Gordano Training
  • 2010
    South Bristol Skills Academy opens to students
  • 2012
    City of Bristol College is one of the largest colleges in the UK
