The best facilities
South Bristol Skills Academy (SBSA) lets you take part in vocational training and specialised diplomas not available anywhere else in south Bristol. As well as motor vehicle and construction workshops, there is a restaurant and salon - both full-functioning. Brand new in September, these facilities are great to look at and even better to learn and work in.
But the facilities don’t stop when you leave the building. The garden allows horticultural students to perfect their planting and landscaping skills. And the addition of a greenhouse this September will mean an even wider range of flora and fauna.
Learning the skills of your trade in these training environments will put you ahead of the competition and leave you ready to take on the challenges of future employment.
There is a real sense of community amongst students. Whether that’s horticulture students growing herbs for catering students, or construction students building a stage for a student fashion show, students work together and help one another.
Resources and more
The way SBSA has been designed offers a flexible, open-plan learning environment. There is a relaxed internet café feel with students able to borrow laptops, buy food from the café and refectory and make use of the space available. (Wi-fi is available throughout the building.)
Our student support team is also never far away to answer your questions – whether it’s about money, support or accommodation. Find out more about support for students at College.
