LRC book reviews

Once again three of the College's LRCs have enlisted the help of the Transition students to choose some new books for the LRCs. The students are always thrilled to visit Waterstones book shop in the Galleries to choose new books.

This annual Book Project has proven to be very popular with the students who read the books and then write a review during literacy lessons. They even put up displays in the LRCs to promote their books.

Well done to all the students involved.

Poetry in motion

Image: A student, writing a poem, looks at a model aeroplane for inspiration.Vocational Access Programme students had the chance to better understand aeroplanes when they took part in the BAC 100 year celebrations.

The Bristol Aeroplane Company (BAC) celebrated its 100 year anniversary with a series of workshops for students across Bristol.

Creative writing workshops gave our students the chance to write poems and draw pictures of aeroplanes, as well as meet local poet and performer, Claire Williamson.

Take a look at the students' poems and photos.
