College hosts 'Playing with Mathematics' conference

The subject of maths will be the focus of special conference at City of Bristol College on 29 April.
The conference, called ‘Playing with Mathematics’, will demonstrate and explore the imaginative link between maths and storytelling.
The event is aimed at those working in nurseries, children’s centres, primary schools and local authorities.
Hairdressing Students Show they have the Winning Touch

Hairdressing students from City of Bristol College have reinforced their reputation as the ones to beat after returning home from a regional hairdressing competition with nine first place prizes, four second place wins and three third place awards. They also scooped the junior and senior championship awards.
College Cooks Up a Storm Winning a Place in National Final

Three catering course students from City of Bristol College tasted success, having triumphed in the South West regional heat of the 2010 Brakes Student Team Chef Challenge. Winning a highly coveted place at the national final, the team will cook their winning menu again before an esteemed panel of judges at London’s Olympia on March 3rd to compete for the title of Student Team Chef Challenge Champions 2010.
