The law and legal issues are always hitting the headlines. Are police powers too wide? Should a life sentence mean life? On this course you'll learn how the legal system functions. You'll cover a wide range of subjects including the courts, police powers, juries, sentencing, homicide, theft, criminal damage and assault. You'll look at the legal system in the first year and criminal law in the second year. Assessment is all by exams.
