History
One country above all others shaped the course of history in the early 20th Century - Germany. From the Weimar Republic in 1918 to the outbreak of war in 1939, you'll examine what took a nation from democracy to a dictatorship; why and how Hitler and the Nazis came to power and the impact of the Third Reich they created. You'll also study fascism and modules in Poverty and the Poor Law and trhe Rise of the Suffragette Movement. Over the two years you'll take four exams and submit four pieces of coursework. You will need GCSE History at grade C.
