Geography
Are you fascinated by our changing world? On this course you'll examine not only physical change, but also human development and the contemporary issues changes create. At AS Level you'll focus on change in the UK - urban change, industry and population, coasts, rivers, energy and environmental issues. Whilst at A2 Level you'll look at global change - migration, transnational corporations, political geography, hazards (earthquakes, hurricanes, AIDS and burglary), plate tetonics, soils, vegetation, savanna and global warming. As well as class work you'll participate in day trips and a two day residential field trip in both years; to Somerset (AS) and Dartmoor (A2). You will need GCSE Geography or Humanities at grade C.
