You'll gain an excellent introduction to all the key accounting principles. To develop your understanding you'll learn about basic accounting concepts and double entry book-keeping. You'll get to practise producing profit and loss accounts and balance sheets, taking into account all the necessary adjustments. And with the opportunity to look at the different types of accounts such as partnerships, clubs and societies and limited companies, you'll be well placed to go on to Higher Education or be prepared for accounts related work.
