Environmental Science
Life on this planet depends On a range of interacting systems: the atmosphere, hydrosphere (oceans, lakes and rivers), lithosphere (rocks and soils) and biosphere (living organisms). Environmental Science studies these systems and people's impact on them. And by understanding the scientific principles that govern all life on Earth, you'll be better placed to make informed comment on environmental issues and how to deal with them. You'll get to experience fieldwork with a two-day residential field trip to a youth hostel on the edge of Exmoor. You will need Double Science CC grade at GCSE.
