Chemistry
From the time of the Ancient Greeks the nature of matter has captivated us. And today, knowing about chemistry helps in everyday tasks like feeding a family, using cleaning materials, gardening and health and safety. With important issues such as pollution facing our world, chemistry also helps us create opinions and devise solutions. A challenging and practical subject, you'll perform experiments to test out theories. Your AS/A2 Chemistry will open up a whole range of opportunities including: progression into careers in food technology, genetics, teaching, pharmacy, medicine, horticulture, dentistry, forensic science, geology, environmental science and virtually all biological science. You will need Single Science C in Chemistry or Double Science BB at GCSE.
