How to apply for a full time course
1. Still Uncertain?
If you are unsure about what courses you want to do or how to go about joining, the College organises a number of Advice Sessions. These are a perfect opportunity to visit the College and meet with subject tutors who will advise you of the appropriate courses. For some courses we also offer taster sessions.
2. Complete the full-time application form
Print a copy of the application form (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader)
You are advised to apply as soon as possible - you do not need to wait for exam results.
Remember if you are applying for any of the full-time higher education courses you must apply through UCAS not the College. Telephone 0870 1122211. www.ucas.com.
UCAS course codes are given in the individual course descriptions.
3. Confirming receipt of application form
Within two weeks an acknowledgment card will be sent to your home address.
4. We look at your choices
All the courses you have put on your form will be considered, but not necessarily in the order you listed them.
5. Come to see us
You will be invited to attend an interview for your chosen subject(s). If you apply for more than one course and they are similar or the same, but at different levels, you will be interviewed for them at the same time. If they are different subjects you may be asked to attend two interviews.
We start interviewing in late October/November for courses which start the following September.
6. Acceptance
After interview, if you and the College feel the course you have applied for is the right one for you, a place will be offered to you. Once you have received the acceptance form you must return it as soon as possible.
7. Joining instructions
Joining instructions will be sent to you during the first week of August by the Admissions Team.
8. Exam results
If you change your mind about the course, or if your exam results are not what you expect, there are plenty of opportunities and options open to you at College. The College will help you decide the best course for you.
9. Your future starts here
Subject to achieving the grades we have specified, you will start your course in September.
