About the course

The AAT qualification gives you practical, internationally recognised finance and accountancy skills. The Level 2 Certificate will cover processing bookkeeping transactions, control accounts, providing basic costing & revenue information and working with computerised accounts.  

Entry Requirements

You will need to complete an on line literacy and numeracy assessment in addition to the following:

  • Good numeracy skills
  • Good standard of spoken and written English
What will I do on this course?

During the course you will acquire all of the fundamental skills to introduce you to accounting. You will gain competence in maintaining the ledger and supplying management information, both manually and computerised. Topics include:

  • Bookkeeping transactions
  • Bookkeeping controls
  • Elements of costing
  • Work effectively in finance
  • Using accounting software

How Is this course assessed?

You will be assessed via AAT computer-based unit tests plus a synoptic assessment.

What could I do next?

Successful completion of the AAT Level 2 gives the option to progress to the AAT Level 3 course.

Additional cost

Learners will need to pay an annual AAT Membership fee of £92. Learners registering for the first time will pay a one-off administration fee of £43 as well as the membership fees.
