About the course

The industry plays an essential role in ensuring the success across all sectors of the economy. The marketing industry includes the marketing of traditional goods and services, conferences and events, market research and social marketing. Whilst working in the environment you will also be learning new and up to date skills.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements, however you should have a strong interest in working in Marketing or Market Research and you will need: who have:

  • Aptitude for design
  • Confident communication skills
  • An understanding of digital and communications technology
What will I do on this course?

The Apprenticeship framework consists of a knowledge component, an NVQ qualification, both of which will be delivered and assessed in your work place. Functional skills for English, Maths and ICT are also part of the course and these aredelivered in a blended learning environment with some classroom session and online support.You will study the following units:

  • Contribute to measuring the marketing response
  • Work with other people in a business environment
  • Collect and organise market research data
  • Use digital and social media in marketing
  • Contribute to conducting direct marketing campaigns
Who is it for?

You should have a flair for design and have confident communication skills. You should also have an opportunity to undertake a range of activities which might include contributing to advertising and promotional campaigns and events, market research and maintaining a portfolio of products and managing budgets.
