About the course

This Apprenticeship is perfect if you are currently working in a hotel or restaurant in a split role position. This course has two streams of study - kitchen and restaurant or housekeeping and reception - either of which lead to a nationally-recognised qualification. Flexible attendance is possible with this course depending on your needs and those of your employer. Entry Requirements

  • Catering employment as an apprentice, a minimum of 30 hours a week
  • 2 GCSEs grade D or above
  • Excellent record of attendance and punctuality
  • Good communication skills
  • Commitment, enthusiasm and the motivation to succeed
  • To complete an online initial assessment

How Is this course assessed?

You are assessed throughout your course in College and the workplace on a 50/50 basis by our highly trained staff while your skills develop. You will need to complete a small exam for the Functional Skills part of the course.

What could I do next?

On successful completion of the course the natural progression would be completing the Level 3 NVQ in Hospitality Supervision. This would give you a broader range and quality of skills whilst gaining a greater understanding of the industry at a supervisory level.
