Computing & IT

Discover... how to take your place in a fast expanding industry

Almost everything in our modern lives is controlled by computing and IT. Not a day goes by where digital technology doesn’t impact on us – from the way we communicate with friends and family, to the way we do business, to the systems the Government uses to run our country.

Yet this essential sector is suffering a major skills shortage. IT employment through to 2020 is set to grow at almost twice the UK average, with a record 129,000 new recruits a year predicted to be needed, meaning there's never been a better time to study one of our Computing and IT courses.

We offer an outstanding choice of courses that can help you pursue a career in this fast-expanding sector – whether you want to be an innovative programmer, install vital networks, develop amazing apps, or create brilliant websites.

Our training is of the highest standard, accredited by specialist IT authorities including:

• BCS – The Chartered Institute for IT
• CISCO Academy
• CompTIA Accreditation
• Autodesk Authorised Training Centre
• Microsoft Academy

Based at four centres across Bristol, we teach in small, friendly classes. Our range of courses is constantly expanding to include new options in response to industry requirements. Whether you’re just leaving school, in work and wanting to change direction, or simply looking to improve your IT skills, we have a course that will suit your needs.

For example, if you’re aged 16-18, you could choose from full-time hardware or software courses at Level 1 (IT@Work), Level 2 (equivalent to 4 GCSEs) and Level 3 (equivalent to an A Level) depending on your skills, interest and GCSE results.

If you'd prefer to combine work with learning, you could apply for an Apprenticeship. Alternatively you could choose to boost your professional qualifications with one of our higher level courses. Whatever your goals, our approachable staff can advise you about the best way forward.
