What will I do on this course?
You will develop a knowledge of different types of buildings and the methods used in their construction.
This qualification consist of 6 study units. Your study has both knowledge and practical elements to include:
- preparation and application of plaster materials
- making plaster components from moulds
- calculation of components
- safe working practices
You may also be required to study Maths and English as part of your course.
Who is it for?
This course is suitable for 16-18 year olds who have a keen interest to learn knowledge and skills to start a career in Plastering.
How Is this course assessed?
You will be assessed in a number of different ways and receive regular feedback in reviews to guide your progress. Some of the ways in which your success will be measured are:
- Online assessments
- Practical assessments
- Portfolio work
What could I do next?
On successful completion of the course you may be able to progress to the Level 2 Diploma in Plastering course. You could also apply for an apprenticeship in the Plastering industry.
You will need protective footwear and a high visibility vest for practical sessions.
