What will I do on this course?
Unit 201/601 Health, safety and welfare in construction
You will learn all about Health safety and welfare in construction ranging from legislation to fire safety to accident reporting
Unit 202/602 Principles of building construction, information and communication
You will learn the basis of construction including the roles and responsibilities of various other trades and construction professionals. You will also learn about the documentation and methods of communication that are used within the construction industry
Unit 221 Apply plastering materials to interiors
You will learn about and gain practical experience of applying one and two coat plaster to internal backgrounds
Unit 222 Fix dry lining and plasterboards to interiors
You will learn about and gain practical experience of cutting and fitting plasterboard and joint finishes for plasterboard
Unit 223 Laying sand and cement screeds
You will learn about and gain practical experience of laying sand and cement floor screed
Unit 224 Applying plastering materials to external backgrounds
You will learn about and gain practical experience of applying render to external walls
Unit 225 Produce reverse moulds for fibrous work
You will learn about and gain practical experience of producing moulds that are used to create plaster components
Unit 226 Casting and fixing fibrous plasterwork
You will learn about and gain practical experience of casting and fixing plaster components
An Information, Advice and Guidance session is not necessary - learners can direct enrol onto this course if they meet the entry requirement.
