Construction (2017)

Discover... the building blocks for your future career

Are you a practical, hands on person? Are you fascinated by the planning that goes in to creating the structures we take for granted every day; the homes we live in, the buildings we work in, the roads, railways and motorways we travel on, everything down to that chair you're sitting on?

If you have an inquisitive mind and are curious about how things fit together, then a Construction course could be right for you.

UK construction is a vast sector employing more than 2 million people and contributing almost £90 billion to the economy each year. This dynamic industry is often influenced by growth in other areas, like new build housing or large civil engineering projects, and has a wide variety of roles to offer.

Our expert teaching staff have superb knowledge of the construction industry; in fact, many still actively work in it part time as architects, carpenters, bricklayers, quantity surveyors. While our excellent facilities include the latest industry-standard equipment for practical sessions.

Embarking upon a Construction course with us means that you’ll benefit from first-hand experience of construction sites during site visits and work experience. We enjoy well established industry links with many large construction companies such as MIDAS, Laing O’Rouke, South West Builders, Willmot Dixon, Alfred Bagnell & Son (SW) Ltd and Seddons Property Services.

Whether you're starting your career or looking to develop existing skills, we have a range of full-time or part-time courses to suit you, from Entry Level to Level 5. You could also opt for an Apprenticeship if you’d like to start work while you learn.
