About the course
Into College is a course (3.5 days per week) for young people who would benefit from a highly structured programme of study. It is offered at both Ashley Down Centre and South Bristol Skills Academy. It is a one or two year programme and is ideal if you want to experience different work areas before deciding what you want to specialise in. We offer learners a wide range of vocational training options alongside core English, maths and IT skills to suit the academic needs and abilities of individual learners – for some this will be GCSE, for others, Functional Skills or Awards in English and/or mathematics. There will be opportunities for young people to develop their social and communication skills, within a mainstream college setting. All students undertake work experience and get involved in community enterprise projects.
