About the course

For students under 25 that have profound and complex learning difficulties, the Sensory Learning programme aims to help young people to move from life at school into the adult world. It is offered as a series of half-day and whole-day sessions, which may be combined to make up either a full-time course (3 days per week) or part-time course based at South Bristol Skills Academy. The course aims to enable and encourage students to respond and communicate with those around them by developing communication skills, making choices and expressing themselves creatively through taking part in group activities. The course will also aim for the students to engage in a variety of sensory experiences.
