About the course
If you love computer games and would like to create designs for your own, then this Level 3 Games Design and Development course is the perfect start for a creative career or university.
The course gives you an opportunity to develop skills and techniques to help prepare you for a career in the creative media industry through disciplines such as game design and development, interaction design, 2D and 3D animation and enviroments and VFX.
You will undertake projects which allow you to experiment with a wide range of digital media techniques and skills to produce a range of engaging interactive experiences. Some prior experience of digital design, animation or programming are useful but a willingness to learn and engage in the development of digital and physical interactive prototypes is essential.
You will also learn about marketing interactive content and games you produce through social media and we encourage you to connect with industrial practitioners and provide opportunities to do so as they arise.
This course is part of a wider study programme, which includes a tutorial and personal development element, work experience opportunities through outside set projects and design challenges, development of English and Maths Skills through embedded activities.
