About the course

This qualification will provide people who carry out internal quality assurance in their organisation with the opportunity to develop and improve their practice as well as achieving a professional qualification for their role. This qualification is available to anyone working in; accredited learning, non-accredited learning, the NQF and the QCF. This qualification is made up of 3 units and totals 12 credits.

Entry Requirements

Your staff member will need to be involved in IQA monitoring and quality assuring the work of 2 assessors, each with a minimum of 2 candidates of their own through parts of a qualification.

What will I do on this course?

Your staff member will attend 4 x 3 hour training sessions which will cover all the underpinning principles and practices of internal quality assurance of assessment. They will complete a project at the end of the course based on an evaluation and recommendation of their workplace quality assurance processes and practice.Portfolio of evidence including observation of practices, discussion and inspection of work products.

Who is it for?

This qualification is for staff who conduct internal quality assurance of the assessment process within a centre or organisation by sample planning, monitoring and advising on the practice of assessors.

How Is this course assessed?

Your staff member will complete a project based on an evaluation and recommendation of their own workplace quality assurance processes and practice. This will be supported by a range of additional evidence which will be planned and reviewed with their college assessor. This will include a minimum of 2 observations of them working with their 2 assessors plus records of their quality assurance systems.
