About the course

Want to enjoy your holiday to the full or need to use better Spanish in your job?  Then this course, designed for adults, is for you! Learn to talk about your hobbies and plans using different tenses.


Entry Requirements

  • to have completed one of our Spanish Foundation courses or
  • to have studied Spanish for at least a year, or
  • to be able to express yourself and cope in everyday situations without having formally studied any Spanish and
  • to have an interest in the language and bags of enthusiasm and motivation
What will I do on this course?

You will read a range of simple texts on familiar subjects in Spanish, and learn to describe events in the past, present and future. Learners will work in small groups or in pairs using a variety of enjoyable learning methods and resources.Homework will be set to offer an opportunity for independent study backed up with on-line resources.There will be a focus on:

  • reading and writing
  • speaking and listening
  • topics such as, your likes and dislikes, describing where you live, talking about what you did last weekend
  • grammar to support your learning
Who is it for?

For people who may have spent at least 12 to 18 months learning Spanish already.This is not suitable if you are a complete beginner.

How Is this course assessed?

Through informal assessment by yourself and your tutor during the course.

What could I do next?

After successfully completing the Foundation Plus course you may be able to progress to the Intermediate (GCSE equivalent) Spanish course.

Your tutor will provide you with details of the course book (costing approximately £20) which you will need to purchase.
