About the course

Want to enjoy your holiday to the full? Need to use better Spanish in your job?  Then this course designed for adults is for you! Learn to describe people, talk about your daily routine, cope at the doctors and politely make a complaint.

Entry Requirements

  • to have studied Spanish for at least a year, or
  • to be able to express yourself and cope in everyday situations without having formally studied any Spanish and
  • to have an interest in the language and bags of enthusiasm and motivation
What will I do on this course?

You will learn to use and understand a limited range of simple words, sentences and questions to take part in short conversations in familiar situations Learners will works in small groups or in pairs using a variety of enjoyable learning methods and resources. Homework will be set to offer an opportunity for independent study backed up by on-line resources.There will be a focus on:

  • speaking and listening
  • reading and writing
  • topics such as, being unwell and a visit to the doctor or chemist, talking about your daily routine, the weather etc.
  • gaining an insight into the culture and customs of Spanish speaking countries.
Who is it for?

For people who may have spent a year learning Spanish already.This is not suitable if you are a complete beginner.

How Is this course assessed?

Through informal assessment by yourself and your tutor during the course.

After successfully completing the Foundation course, why not continue to build your skills with the Foundation Plus course.
