About the course

Want to enjoy communicating with people in all Spanish speaking countries, to have a good grasp of Spanish at work or progress to an Advanced Course? Then this course is designed for you!

Learn to talk and write about health, gastronomy and culture, make complaints and give your opinions using different tenses.

Entry Requirements

To succeed on this course you will need to have:

  • completed our Spanish Intermediate course
  • studied Spanish for at least two and a half years
  • to be able to express yourself fluently and cope in everyday situations
  • an interest in the language and bags of enthusiasm and motivation 
What will I do on this course?

You will keep improving the language and learn more about the culture of the Spanish speaking world. There will be emphasis on exchanging opinions and ideas and how to cope in more complicated situations while you continue developing your language skills.

Learners will work in small groups or in pairs with a variety of enjoyable learning methods and resources. Learners will discuss information and exchange views using complex tenses in the past, present, and future.

Homework will be set to offer an opportunity for independent study, backed-up with online resources on Moodle.

There will be a focus on:

  • speaking and listening
  • reading and writing
  • grammar and vocabulary
  • topics such as food and services, solving problems and complaints, health, relationships and moods
Who is it for?

This course is for anyone who wants to build on their existing intermediate skills in Spanish and who has spent up to two and a half years studying already. It is not suitable if you are a complete beginner or only have basic Spanish language skills.

How Is this course assessed?

Through informal assessments by yourself and your tutor during the course.

What could I do next?

After successfully completing the Intermediate Plus course you may be able to progress to the Upper Intermediate (AS equivalent) course.
