Want to improve your Spanish language skills to enjoy your holiday in any Spanish speaking country, to better your communication in Spanish at work, improve your CV or progress to the next level?

Then, this course is designed for you! Learn to talk and write about jobs, events and plans using different tenses.

Entry Requirements

To succeed on this course you will need :

  • to have successfully completed our Spanish Foundation and Spanish Foundation Plus courses.
  • to have a good basic knowledge of Spanish gained from about 2 years of previous part-time study or by having lived in a Spanish speaking environment.
  • to be able to express yourself and cope in everyday situations.
  • to have bags of enthusiasm and motivation to learn.
What will I do on this course?

You will revise basic structures and learn new patterns to extend your knowledge of the Spanish language. There will be emphasis on practicing the language in real situations to develop your skills and confidence.

Learners will work in small groups or in pairs using a variety of enjoyable learning methods and resources to exchange information, opinions and ideas using tenses in the past, present and future.

Homework will be set to offer an opportunity for independent study, backed-up with online resources on Moodle.  

There will be a focus on:

  • speaking and listening
  • reading and writing
  • topics such as jobs and careers, changes in peoples' life, arranging holidays, free time and hobbies
  • grammar to support your learning
Who is it for?

For people who may have spent at least 2 years learning Spanish. This is not suitable if you are a complete beginner.

How Is this course assessed?

Through informal assessments by yourself and your tutor during the course.
