About the course

This course is designed to further develop your hairdressing skills gained at level 2 and cover advanced colouring, cutting and perming techniques to meet industry needs.

Entry Requirements

  • You need to be operating at a minimum of Level 1 English ( Grade D GCSE)
  • hairdressing Level 2
  • Total commitment with 100% attendance and punctuality
  • Good organization, enthusiasm, motivation and an ability to work with the general public
  • You will need to be able to communicate with people from every age group, social and ethnic background
What will I do on this course?

Level 3 will cover a variety of creative colouring, cutting, Bridal and styling techniques. These units will build on your existing Level 2 skills, giving confidence and creativity in your hairdressing:

  • Advanced hair cutting techniques
  • Creative hairdressing design skills
  • Advanced colouring techniques
  • Styling hair in a variety of techniques
  • Monitoring health and safety in the salon
  • Consultation support of colleagues on hair services

This course is for adult learners who wish to further develop their hairdressing skills and embrace a career in hairdressing.

There is no end examination on the course, however you are continually assessed throughout the course via assignments and practical tasks.
