Counselling. Childcare. Dementia Care. Youthwork. All very different careers, yet sharing one common quality – they are all about helping people. We understand that it takes a special kind of person to do this for a living, and our courses are designed to support those people to reach the jobs that they are striving for.
Health and social care, including childcare and education, is the third largest area of employment in the South West. You may want to work in a care home, nursery, hospital, school or youth centre. Whatever your plans, we offer a wide range of courses to suit all abilities at four of our centres.
We offer short work-skills programmes, full-time or part-time courses, apprenticeships and foundation degrees, and higher level courses including a Level 5 qualification developed by professionals for managers in the health, social care and childcare industry.
As your skills develop, you’ll be able choose from a range of different pathways. You can also decide how you want to study, including online and distance learning.
We have achieved the Training and Quality Standards Kite Mark Part B in Care, meaning that studying with us will give you the best training experience out there.
Our highly qualified staff have all worked in care and childcare professions and have the most up-to-date industry knowledge. Our excellent employer links mean we’re able to place full-time students in over 900 care settings across the city. We also work with a range of employers to meet the ever growing demand for care apprentices.
