Media Studies is the analysis of an increasingly important, powerful and enjoyable aspect of modern life. This popular subject allows you to explore a range of academic disciplines and develop your analytical capabilities while also experimenting with creative tasks.

  • 6 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, including English and Maths
What will I do on this course?

This subject equips you with the skills and knowledge to engage critically with the wide range of media you encounter every day. You will be able to use your own experiences to develop your understanding, whilst also encountering numerous new and interesting ideas and experiences. Key features include:

Who is it for?

This course is part of a full time A Level programme of 4 different subjects and will appeal to Year 11 students who has an academic or practical interest in the media or a wider interest in the modern world should find the course appealing. Media Studies attracts a wide variety of students studying a range of different A Level combinations.
