Turning over more than £59 billion a year, the UK motor industry is thriving, and with more than 730,000 people working in the industry, employment opportunities are high. Vehicle production accounts for over 10% of all UK exports, and around £1.7 billion is invested into research and development each year.
Our Motor Vehicle and Transport training is suited to all sectors of the industry. We offer a number of courses to suit your career goals - from Entry Level to Level 3. If you want to develop your skills further, we also offer several Level 4 advanced qualifications, including a Foundation Degree. You can either choose to study full-time, or combine your studies with employment in the industry as an Apprentice.
Studying a full-time course with us will mean that you spend half of your time in the classroom and the other half getting your hands dirty in one of our many workshops.
You can choose to study a range of areas, including light vehicles, heavy vehicles, fork lift trucks, body repair and paint, motorcycles or management.
You’ll benefit from the latest industry equipment and facilities based at the Advanced Engineering Centre (AEC) at Parkway, including:
• Heavy and light vehicle workshop
• Forklift truck workshop
• Body repair and finishing workshops
• Electronic engine testing and diagnostic equipment
• Computer aided simulation rigs
