Entry Requirements

  • 4 GCSEs at grades 9-3 including maths and English
What will I do on this course?

You will study health, safety and good housekeeping in the automotive environment, supporting job roles in the automotive work environment, materials, fabrication, tools and measuring devices, identifying and agreeing motor vehicle customer service needs, routine heavy vehicle maintenance, removing and replacing engine units and components, removing and replacing electrical units and components, removing and replacing chassis units and components, inspecting vehicles using prescribed methods, driveline units and components, transmission units, steering and suspension units and fuel, ignition, air and exhaust system units and components

This will be both in the the workshop doing practical tasks and theory work in the classroom.

Who is it for?

This course is free to 16 to 18 year olds but is open to more muture learners but is self funded. This is a college based course on a full time basis.
