Training to improve English skills

Good communication skills are key to any business. That's why Nisbets, one of the largest suppliers of catering equipment and clothing in the UK, turned to English language training with City of Bristol College.

There was great interest from non-British citizens, particularly those working in the warehouse, for training to improve their English skills.

How does it work?

Our business adviser visited Nisbets to discuss their training needs and identify the employees who would benefit from English language training.

City of Bristol College understands that time is precious in businesses and accommodates learning to meet employers' needs. Four separate classes ran throughout the week for different levels over 20 weeks in 2007 and last year that increased to five mornings before shifts start.
