Food, drink and how to set up cashless payments

If you want to use a college food hall or vending machine, you’ll need to sign up for cashless payments.

City of Bristol College has a cashless payment system for our catering outlets and vending machines. It’s the same system students use for print credits.

To pay for an item, you need to register with VMC. You can use your account to add funds, pre-order meals and buy vending machines items.

Visit the Cashless Portal (City of Bristol College’s VMC website)

How to register for cashless payments

The first time you visit the Cashless Portal you will need to register.

Please click on the Register link on the homepage and enter your staff or student ID number and surname.

Read the terms and conditions, tick the box to say you have read them and press Submit.

You will need to enter your email address if this isn’t known to the system. We will email you a link to a secure page where you will choose a username and password.

Friends and family can add funds to your account by visiting https://cobc.vmcflex.co/fup/wp/ffworldpay.aspx and entering your surname and student ID number.

How to order food using our click and collect service

Food and drink outlets can be found in each centre.

We have a click and collect service to buy lunch from our catering outlets. Food orders need to placed on the Cashless Portal website.

Food can be ordered two days in advance, up to one hour before your desired collection time. Collection times are available between 11.30am and 1.30pm.

If you forget to order food, you will be able to buy sandwiches and snacks through our vending machines.

Manage your account using an app

For those who use smartphones, there is an app to manage your cashless payment account.

Search for VMC on Google Play/App Store and log in using your account.

When you have downloaded the app, the organisation code is cobcapp.
