Stirring up success

Photograph: Catering students on board the SS Great Britain.Catering students made the final of the UK’s biggest and best student catering competition – the 19th Nestlé Toque d'Or.

The College’s team was made up of students, Kelly Wooland, Ian Smith, Jaques Fourie, Leoni Atkins, Jamie Stockton and Kyle Carpenter.

Using the theme of the SS Great Britain, the team developed a restaurant concept – The Voyager – and turned it into reality by cooking a three course lunch for 100 people.

The judges included celebrity chef James Tanner, from Ready Steady Cook, and the team did the College proud.
