Problem-solving, lateral thinking and other team-building activities will turn a group of strangers into a team.

Week 2 – New experiences

During this second week the team spend a residential week in Pembroke or Devon. This could see you and your team team abseiling, coasteering, raft-building and plenty other problem-solving activities. It can be tough work but also lots of fun.

Weeks 3-6 – Community spirit

It’s time to put your new-found skills into practice to plan and develop a project within the local community. Past projects have included creating gardens, re-decorating nurseries and converting disused buildings into useful facilities.

Whether you know what you want to do in life or you are still deciding a two-week work placement can help your future decisions once the course has finished. We also help you with preparing for employment by completing application forms, creating a personal CV and practising interview techniques.

Weeks 10-11 – The main event

As a team you’ll have come a long way already, but there’s still one final challenge remaining. The team must choose and find a deserving group of people to work with for a week. Previous teams have organised day trips for school children, taken a group of homeless women on an outdoor activity week and organised parties as a Bristol day care centre.

No time to sit back and relax just yet. There’s just one more thing to do. The final presentation is your chance to reflect on your progress and successes as an individual and as a team. And of course, the team is responsible for organising the event.
