Emma Turner - Fashion

I have always been interested in Fashion, and when I looked at the City of Bristol College prospectus and read the details of the Level 3 Fashion course I decided to apply. At the time I was still at school, but really liked the idea of going to college to study my chosen subject.

My future

In February 2015 I accepted the offer of a place on the BA (Hons) Fashion Plymouth College of Art. At the beginning of the course, my aim was to achieve a University place, and I have done so. I have consistently achieved high grades on the Extended Diploma, and has enabled me to focus on the career path I want to take. I have really enjoyed this course.

The best bit

I have really enjoyed the practical nature of the course; it has enabled me to really explore and extend my creative skills and knowledge. I have made some great friends and we have been able to broaden our skill-set and realise our potential.

My tutors

The lecturers are all very supportive, friendly, knowledgeable, inspiring. They are highly skilled in their specialism and have many years of experience. I feel we are treated more as equals and individuals, and this makes college a more comfortable learning environment.

Student life

The students are supportive, friendly, imaginative, and fun to be with. We have common interests and this often means lots of debate! We all work really well as independent individuals and also as part of the group.

The facilities

The facilities are easy to access, and there is enough equipment to satisfy my creative needs.

Why us?

This is the only school or college in Bristol to offer the course that I am studying on.
