College helps unemployed adults return to work

City of Bristol College has had more than 1,200 enrolments onto the Work Skills programme - a set of free courses aimed at helping adults in the South West get the skills and qualifications they need to get back into work.
Record application numbers for HE courses

City of Bristol College has received a record number of university-level course applicants hoping to start in September 2012. This 28% increase comes at a time when universities across England are reporting an 8.7% decrease in application numbers for Degree level courses*.
Apprenticeships are a route to a successful career

Undertaking an Apprenticeship can change the direction of a student’s life dramatically. Many have found the increase in university fees challenging and have chosen an Apprenticeship as an affordable alternative, allowing them to gain the required skills and experience whilst earning qualifications up to university level.
