Leaders in their field

Full members of the MCGB are professional chefs who can be said to be amongst the leaders in their chosen field. Membership is by invitation or by personal application. Each application is forwarded to the MCGB and a personal visit is arranged for assessment.

MCGB assess potential members’ technical expertise, experience, knowledge and promotion of local produce. Scott is one of just 200 members in the UK and the first in Bristol to be made a fellow.

Great accolade for the College

Scott comments: “This award is a real honour and an endorsement from my peers, some of whom are rated as the finest chefs in the UK.”

“This is a prestigious award given to chefs who not only cook to a high standard, but also want to pass on their knowledge to younger chefs and take an active part in the local community. This award is a great accolade for the College to have.”
