This course will give you a good understanding and practical skills in all aspects of beauty therapy.

Level 2 will give you the skills in facial, eyebrow treatments, manicures, pedicures and waxing. Progression to level 3 will give you the ability to operate beauty machines and perform advanced facials, body therapy with massage, aromatherapy and epilation. There will also be the chance to enter the college competition and the Dermalogica Student of the Year competition.

What will I need?

2 GCSEs at grade D or above, a good record of attendance and punctuality, and personal interview.

How long is the course?

2 years.

How will I know how I am doing?

You'll be continuously assessed through a mixture of practical, written tests and assignments collated in a portfolio.

How will this help me in the future?

Secure employment in a beauty salon, health farm, leisure club, cruise ship or in the cosmetics business as a make-up consultant. Begin self-employment.
