Feedback on student progress

  • Photograph: Parents and tutor at a parents evening. You will be invited to attend regular parents' evenings to discuss their progress.
  • All students will receive end of year reports, including predicted grades if appropriate.

Timetable

Every student will receive a copy of their timetable at the start of the year. College hours are different from school. Students will have time for private study when they are not in lessons.

The assignments, coursework and additional reading requirements will vary from course to course, but it's important that students keep up with the work set and meet their deadlines.

Attendance

Students are expected to attend all sessions regularly and on time, although some students will not have lessons on every day. A register is taken at each session and the course tutor will follow up absences or lateness.

If your son or daughter will not be in College for whatever reason, please telephone and let the tutor or faculty administrator know as soon as possible.

Personal tutors are on hand to help students both with course-related queries and personal issues.

Every student will have a nominated tutor who will meet them regularly to discuss their progress as well as their personal and learning goals.

Learning mentors can assist with planning and organisation, finding information, referrals to other services or simply listening.

We offer students all the help and support that they need to take control of their learning and achieve the best out of College.

Code of Conduct

All full-time students aged 16-19 will be asked to sign the
