This apprenticeship programme in accountancy is designed and supported by employers.
You will gain knowledge while learning practical work-based skills. This accountancy apprenticeship will give you fundamental accounting skills.
Who is it for?
This course is only available to those already employed in a financial role. Placements cannot be found for students.
What you'll learn
Units studied are:
- Advanced Bookkeeping
- Final Accounts preparation
- Management Accounting: Costing
- Indirect Tax
- Ethics for Accountants
- Spreadsheets for accounting
To study as an apprentice, you must be in employment. You must have a good standard of spoken and written English and be competent in core Numeracy skills. You will be required to demonstrate these skills by completing an online assessment.
GCSE requirements will be determined by your employer, but will need to include Maths and English 9-5 (A*-C), and have completed AAT level 2 or an equivalent accounting qualification.
Future career and study opportunities
Successful completion of this programme will allow you to progress to the Level 4 AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting.
As a City of Bristol College student, you may incur additional costs to attend your course. For example, it is likely you may need to pay for travel and stationery.
Many courses offer learning opportunities that you may need to pay for. This may include things like study visits and visiting speakers. We will let you know in advance if there will be additional costs.
If you are on a limited income, you may be able to receive help from our Learner Support Funding Bursary.
