Course overviewAdministration Diploma City of Bristol College
This one-year Administration Diploma course is for school leavers aged 16-18. It will give you the confidence and skills that you need in the business world.
You will learn:
- how to market a product.
- how to communicate effectively.
- how to set yourself up to succeed.
You will have the opportunity, as part of your programme, to complete a work placement.
Who is it for?
If you have the drive to succeed in the world of business, this course is for you.
We will help you develop your skills in business and prepare you for work. You must be willing to learn new skills, keen to succeed and prepared to work and study hard.
What you'll learn
You will study topics including:
- how to set up a small business
- communication skills
- customer service.
In addition, we will also make sure that you have the necessary Maths, IT and English skills that employers require in the workplace.
To join this course you will need a desire to succeed, four GCSEs at Grade 3 (D) including English and Maths, and a good level of written and verbal communication skills.
Please note you must attend the GCSE English and Maths sessions, if you do not already hold a Grade 4 or above as part of the programme structure.
This course is for 16-18 year olds.
How is the course delivered and assessed?
You will be assessed via assignments, role play, group work and coursework throughout the one year programme.
Future career and study opportunities
Success on this course will allow you to consider employment directly or to progress onto a Business Administration course or onto a Level 3 Business course.
This course is free to anyone aged 16-18. You shouldn’t expect any additional costs for this course. However, if you are on a limited income, you may be eligible to receive help for any extra costs from our Learner Support Funding Bursary.
To keep our students and staff safe, we’re reducing the number of people in our buildings at one time.
To achieve this, most of our courses will include sessions taught at the college supported by online learning to help you reach your full potential.
