Who is this course for?
These are for adults whose first language is not English and hoping to learn some of the key skills needed for work and study.
There are a range of courses and different start times to help with other commitments you may have.
What you'll learn
Alongside developing your spoken and written English, you will take part in many different tasks and activities related to the chosen topic.
These are aimed to give you a better understanding of the industry and may give you the confidence to pursue further studies or support with finding employment.
Course entry requirements
There are no specific entry requirements but we are looking for people who are keen to learn and can commit to 3 hours per week for 10 weeks.
How is the course delivered and assessed?
The course has been planned by a vocational and ESOL lecturer to ensure you can have the best experience.
It will be delivered in a variety of settings (depending on which course you choose) and will be a mixture of activities, informal discussions and projects to complete.
Assessment will be through informal discussions, completion of tasks and projects and review of targets set.
Future career and study opportunities
These courses are designed to be a stepping stone into further studies or even employment. You will gain insight into specific industries and if they are right for you.

As a City of Bristol College student, you may incur additional costs to attend your course. For example, it is likely you may need to pay for travel and stationery.
