Who is this course for?
This course is for young people aged 16-18 looking for an exciting career within the Civil Aviation Industry.
What you'll learn
During this course you will learn about all aspects of the Civil Aviation Industry and you will learn the essentials to become an aircraft maintenance engineer mechanic.
Course entry requirements
To join this course you will need 4 GCSE passes in Maths, Sciences and English at grade 3 or above.
How is the course delivered and assessed?
During this programme, you will take the City & Guilds exams.
Future career and study opportunities
On completion, successful students can progress to the Level 3, Category A licence course in aircraft engineering. These qualifications will help you move towards a career in aircraft maintenance engineering.
Additional costs
There is a requirement to provide your own personal protective equipment (PPE) in the form of boots and uniform/clothing. Pens, books, drawing equipment and a scientific calculator, will be required to complete this course satisfactorily.
