Who is this course for?
Great for students who want to combine creativity with care for the natural world, through projects in urban design, regeneration, and planting.
What you'll learn
Landscape planning, environmental design, planting schemes, urban regeneration, sustainability, digital modelling, and AI tools.
You’ll explore how emerging design technologies like AI can support sustainable approaches to outdoor spaces and environmental regeneration.
This pathway is one of 5 pathways within our Applied Design practice programme, which covers the design principles, techniques and processes that can be applied across a wide range of design disciplines. Along with the specific pathway skills you can opt to follow, you will also learn the skills that are essential in design using traditional and digital methods. You will also immerse yourself in a range of design software (including Adobe, Infinity Studio, Canva, AutoDesk, Blender, Figma) and learn how Artificial Intelligence can be used in the design processes to create design products.
Course entry requirements
4 x GCSEs at 3 or above, including maths and/or English or equivalent or a Level 1 qualification in a relevant subject. You will have gained either English and/or Maths at GCSE Level 4 or above, or Level 2 Functional Skills in English and/or Maths.

How is the course delivered and assessed?
All assessment is through coursework – there are no exams.

Additional costs
We provide the basics, but you may need to purchase additional art materials from our on-site art shop.
