Cisco CCNA 3: Enterprise Networking, Security and Automation City of Bristol College

Enterprise Networking, Security and Automation is the third of three Cisco Networking Academy courses that are aligned to the CCNA Certification Exam 200-301.

In Enterprise Networking, Security, and Automation, you will take the skills and knowledge that you learned previously and apply them to wide area networks (WANs). WANs are large, complex networks that require advanced understanding of network operation and security. You will be introduced to two game-changing areas of networking: virtualization and automation.

Who is this course for?

The course is suitable for those who wish to understand the principles of networking within large, enterprise networks, whilst developing good practice and skills in preparing for the CCNA exam. In particular, it is designed for:

What you'll learn

The course comprises 14 modules, covering networking, security and automation in large, enterprise networks. The material is provided in an online course through the Cisco Networking Academy and will be delivered in Instructor-led classes; teaching concepts and theory, putting this into practice using Cisco switching and routing hardware and network-simulation software.

By the end of this course you will be able to configure, troubleshoot, and secure enterprise network devices. You will be versed in application programming interfaces (APIs) and the configuration management tools that make network automation possible.

Course entry requirements

Candidates should have completed the first two of the three Cisco Networking Academy courses, or have previously completed CCENT studies or certification, following the ICND1 exam.

How is the course delivered and assessed?

Assessment takes place throughout the course, via the online Networking Academy, using quizzes and checkpoint exams. There is a formal final exam to pass the course and gain a certificate from the Cisco Networking Academy.

Future career and study opportunities

When you have completed this course, you will have gained the practical experience you need to prepare for the 200-301 CCNA certification exam.

You will also have the skills required for associate-level roles in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) industry.

Additional costs

For the full CCNA qualification, you are required to sit and pay for the CISCO CCNA vendor assessment through a PearsonVUE testing centre.
